I confirm the review that it is unusable. The female USB-C connector is very deep in the reducer, and regular USB-C cables don't have a connector long enough to plug in. Maybe if you could get some African USB-C connectors it would work, but it doesn't work with regular cables.
9 out of 10 USB-C cables do not fit there, the connector does not hold and does not charge. Either I had a defective piece or they are all so stupidly designed
