It's definitely a good place to start to get a feel for what and how, or for young children
The back button is great.
Video and photos are useless, they remind "quality" photos of the first digi cameras in 2000. As someone wrote in another review, you can't tell from the video and photos at 10m. The downside is probably the lack of image stabilization when the drone is sitting on the ground, the photos and videos are quite nice.
The range won't be what the brochure says either. about 100m away with direct visibility, the image stutters and the drone stops, saying it has no signal.
The SYMA FLY application is a total piece of cake. Not only does it keep crashing, but pairing the drone with the app is sometimes a 10 minute job.
Also annoying is the random "circling" of the drone by itself. Sometimes it starts to circle bigger and bigger wheels out of nowhere, until it reaches a diameter of 5m. If he crashes or otherwise "gets busy", he'll leave it alone. I think it's something with a "circling" function, but I can't get to that function menu in SYMA.
