We've only used it once so far, so it's too early to draw any conclusions. But even according to one test cooking, the electric pot seems like a good buy.

Consistent weighing (when you weigh the same thing multiple times, it will show the same number)
For a kitchen scale, an acceptable deviation (my piece weighs less than a percent more; tested with a calibration weight class F2)
Automatic shutdown after 3 minutes, so it probably won't turn off while you're dozing (backlight turns off after a minute, but then stays on for 2 minutes)
Consumption 15 mA with backlight and 2 mA without, so one battery lasts over 2000 weighings
Idle power consumption only 14 μA, so without use the batteries would last about 6 years (some scales normally last only a few months)
It stops working at 2.4 V, so it can only use about 70% of the alkaline batteries, and there could be a problem with the rechargeable NiMH ones (but I haven't tested those)

Doesn't work when weighing 0.5g of spices! It only starts reacting from 3g and if you wait a few seconds, the weight starts to drop by as much as 3g!
The scale turns on when cleaning the glass top.
