Excellent grill, large surface and simple controls. The automatic programmes work brilliantly and the meat is beautifully cooked. A big plus is the removable plates, which are easy to clean. I'm very happy with my purchase and would recommend this grill.

After you've finished grilling, you need to wait a while for the grill to heat up again if you want to prepare more food.
Unbeatable. I first used this grill on holiday where it was part of the accommodation's equipment, and I immediately ordered one for home. It’s easy to use, anyone can handle it. It's quick and hassle-free to cook with. I appreciate the removable plates, which can be washed in the dishwasher. I wouldn’t buy a grill again without removable plates, so that’s a big plus for me.
What can you expect in this price range? A simple piece of kit, but one that still has plenty of bugs to sort out, as it behaves rather unpredictably. Fish are fine with it – especially salmon – but it isn’t suitable for chicken or pork. I haven’t tried the beef.

It’s absolutely hopeless at grilling chicken breasts or kebabs (there isn’t even a programme for the latter) – the chicken breast turns out like rubber
When I open the barbecue whilst it’s running to check it, it sometimes switches off – not always; it’s a bit hit and miss
When you place the meat on the grill, it slides around – you need to close the lid quickly and press it down firmly
Sometimes, even after 10 minutes of heating, it doesn’t give a ‘ready’ signal – you have to open the lid slightly and then close it again; it’s ready straight away, provided it doesn’t switch itself off
The space is suitable for 2–3 people, no more than that
I’m very happy with my Tefal OptiGrill+ XL grill. It’s easy to use, the barbecue heats up quickly and, thanks to the automatic programmes, your food is always cooked to perfection. I really appreciate the larger XL cooking surface, which can hold plenty of food at once – it’s great for a family. The meat stays juicy, the vegetables are beautifully grilled, and cleaning is easy thanks to the removable plates. As far as I’m concerned, it’s a brilliant kitchen aid and I certainly don’t regret buying it.
