It arrived damaged; the holder wouldn’t stay in place, and the thermometer fell apart. I made a complaint, but the new thermometer arrived in the same condition, and the holder fell apart again. I made a complaint, and that was the end of it. Alza isn't responding. If it were more expensive, I’d probably make a right fuss, but I’m not going to get worked up over a thermometer that costs a few shillings – though Alza’s got a bit of a hard time of it with me. Now the only place I can keep it is on my desk.
The stainless steel wire on the attachment was not bent as pictured. I had to bend it myself. The thermometer scale is hard to read. Mounted in a plastic holder that degrades over time i.e. will fall apart. I didn't return it because it's not worth the price. Conclusion - a bad buy.
The thermometer is not measuring correctly, by about 10%! Check against multiple other meters.
