Those times when the term "managed" really meant a fully configurable switch are probably history with tplink. What tplink advertises as an adjustable switch is a disaster. Switch management is under default VLAN 1 and cannot be changed. So if you want to segment the network and have a switch on a specific VLAN, you won't be able to do that.
