For me super price performance.
Surprisingly good sound for its size. Thanks to the app it is possible to improve the sound even more and then both bass and treble are very good. The speaker has two active transducers on the sides and a passive transducer on the top with flashing lights around it. This can be switched off both by button and in the app, or choose from two flashing modes. The entire speaker is wrapped in a pleasant fabric in three colour options, black, blue and green. Unfortunately, Alza does not offer green. The speaker is supposed to last with IPX7 water resistance, but I didn't have the courage to do that. Now the interesting thing, the speaker really does play as stereo, left and right channel within one bluetooth speaker! Of course, with limited channel separation due to the spacing and the lack of a crossbar between the converters, but it's there. When testing, I turn the speaker on with the power button forward and then it started responding that the left channel was playing on the left. I haven't tried connecting the speaker via the AUX cable to see if the left channel matches the same position as the bluetooth. Thanks to bluetooth 5.4 and the AAC and SBC codecs used, the transmission is fine and I think of good quality. The speaker doesn't suffer from audio lag when watching YouTube like the previous tested Rixon Bucket. There I measured up to 500ms of delay between video and audio.
I did not notice any sound delay with the Tribit StormBox Mini PLUS BTS33. Considering the price, a super performance from Tribit. I'm satisfied although it doesn't carry the more familiar logo of say JBL or Marshall, it has nothing to be ashamed of and does a decent job.
It's a pity that you can't, for example, turn off the sounds when you turn the speaker on and off via the app. I could certainly do without those. Too bad Alza doesn't offer a green option.
