Short service life. The battery is in my Octavia 1.6Td. I park the car in the garage where the temperature doesn't drop below 5 degrees even in freezing weather and I drive 60km on the highway to work and 60km back. I mean the ideal mode. After three years I'm happy to start - test on a c-tech charger - faulty. The battery before this one - also Varta - 7 years with no problems.
The battery didn't last very long. The first winter it started nicely, the second one was so lazy with compulsion and during the third winter I didn't start one morning. And I do try to take care of the battery, unless I'm doing longer routes, so I occasionally plug it into the charger. Still didn't help, probably not Vartu anymore.
