I plugged it into the cable, which is pretty stiff (it came with the monitor), and when I moved the laptop a bit this adapter moved and immediately stopped working. Therefore instead of this I recommend to buy straight hdmi to micro hdmi cable, he is more flexible and he no longer breaks so easily I think
