I took the card out of curiosity to compare it with O2 Datamania. Datamania has an unpleasant habit of slowing down to about 10-20MB/s for prolonged data pumping in one place. This does not happen with Vodafone. However, both Vodafone and O2 Datamania suffer from the same ailments - as soon as it starts raining the speed drops dramatically and short-term outages occur, and to make matters worse, at peak times (Sunday evenings) the mobile switches to lower speeds and cannot maintain higher speeds.
To what extent this phenomenon is due to locality/MT I do not know. But I can confirm that O2 Datamania cuts the speed after X GB of data transfer or after a longer time in the same location.
