The meter seems to work reliably. After switching on, the green indicator light (Power ON / OK) lights up. Here are my observations from testing:
New fluid and 3 month old fluid: The tester showed only a basic green light (all good).
Wife's car (fluid changed 2 years ago): In addition, one yellow light came on (1% water / still OK).
20 year old Octavia (fluid unchanged for about 10 years): This is where the real "show" happened - all the lights came on except the red one (4% water / immediate replacement required).
Even though the Octavia owner claimed that it was "braking normally", the gauge clearly showed the condition of the fluid. According to my experience and common sense, the device works perfectly and for the few crowns it is definitely worth it. 👍😉
