The 1.3" colour display introduces an updated user interface, providing quick, clear information about your music playback and giving you access to a rich settings menu directly on the DAC. It also offers 4 colour themes and 8 font types for partial graphic customisation. The precisely crafted metal body has a modern, eye-catching design with a textured surface for a pleasant feel.

Quad DAC design, pocket-sized Hi-Fi performance
The combination of four DACs from Cirrus Logic ensures exceptionally clean and stable performance, achieving the highest level of sound quality in its class. Thanks to its high output power and full support for high-resolution music (both PCM and DSD), the UA6 can become one of the simplest Hi-Fi solutions for a wide range of audio enthusiasts.
Optimised sound performance
The built-in 220mAh battery, along with the new hybrid power system, lets the UA6 directly manage the power flow from a connected smartphone. This makes the system highly efficient, ensuring even better, more stable, and optimised sound performance. When connected to smartphones with a weaker USB output (e.g., iPhone or Samsung), the battery assists during the initial connection, ensuring seamless compatibility. The battery supplements the power supplied by the smartphone, providing clean and stable power to the audio circuits, which enables higher performance and better sound dynamics.
3.5mm single-ended output
Enjoy maximum power and superior sound quality from the balanced 4.4mm connector, or use the simple and universal 3.5mm connector for everyday use. Additionally, there is a digital coaxial SPDIF output via the 3.5mm connector, which lets you use the UA6 as a USB transport for various Hi-Fi DACs with an SPDIF input.
Ultra-low noise, UAC 1.0 switch mode
The UA6 uses Shanling's proven circuitry with an advanced low-dropout (LDO) voltage regulator, which ensures a perfectly clean 'black' background for the purest, noise-free sound. This provides a superior listening experience even for very sensitive high-end headphones. The powerful, noise-free DAC/AMP lets you use your favourite headphones to their full potential when gaming. Simply go to the UA6 settings and turn on the switch mode (UAC 1.0).
USB-C connection
The UA6 comes with a 7-core oxygen-free copper (OFC) USB-C cable, which offers high-quality sound and compatibility with most devices on the market. Thanks to the standard USB-C connector, you can also easily use alternative cables—for example, longer versions or cables made from even higher-quality materials.
The Shanling L3 Lightning cable is sold separately for use with iOS devices with a Lightning connector.
For use with Windows computers, the relevant drivers must be installed.
Companion app for Android
Download our Android app for extended control and settings for your UA6. The iOS version of the app does not offer this feature due to restrictions from Apple.
LED status indicator
A small status indicator helps when working with the UA6's Hi-Res support, providing clear information about the currently used sampling rate or DSD level.
Colour indicators: 32 / 44.1 / 48kHz: blue, 64 / 88.2 / 96kHz: green, 128 / 176.4 / 192kHz: yellow, 352.8 / 384 / 705.6 / 768kHz: purple, DSD64 / DSD128 / DSD256 / DSD512: white, 44.1 / 48kHz (UAC 1.0): red.
