Available modes in the Wheel profile
- Bike guard - power saving mode - silent bike guard with minimal battery consumption; tracker is activated by movement and sends an alarm after ~1 minute. It will then also record the route.
- Wheel monitoring - fast response - very sensitive mode: any movement of the bike, the tracker immediately sounds an alarm and starts recording the route.
- Bike ride - suitable for riding: the route is recorded throughout the entire ride, ideal for trips, training or keeping track of rides.
- Bike at home / Bike transfer - a time-saving mode for when your bike is not parked outside or is being transported; the tracker only tracks the base location, saving battery.
- Regular position reporting - the tracker sends the position at set time intervals; suitable if you want to keep an overview even without frequent wheel movement.
- Live mode - real-time tracking, location updates every 5 seconds - ideal in case of theft or immediate response.
- Disable - option to completely disable the tracker (e.g. when storing the bike for a long time); the reactivation is done by the charger. The tracker will put itself to sleep if it is not moving, so there is normally no need to turn it off.

Connection and localisation
The Mala GPS tracker includes an integrated SIM card with automatic switching between operators. The device uses 4G / LTE Cat 1 data transmission and precise location via GNSS (GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou). Operation depends on mobile network coverage in the area.
