Socio-economic factors influencing crisis situations
This publication focuses on the critical, yet often overlooked, area of the influence of socioeconomic factors on the emergence, course, and management of crisis situations in the dynamic world of the 21st century. The text offers a comprehensive theoretical and practical framework for understanding how economic inequalities, demographic changes, education levels, and political decisions shape the vulnerability of societies and their ability to face crises. The book combines interdisciplinary knowledge from economics, sociology, and crisis management with modern methods such as big data analysis and machine learning for the purpose of predicting future risks. Special attention is paid to the mechanisms by which socioeconomic instability and the marginalisation of certain population groups escalate the impact of crises, and to the possibilities for building a more resilient and equitable society through systemic measures. The aim of this publication is to provide both experts and the general public with tools for the effective prevention and minimisation of the negative consequences of crises on human lives and the global community.
