How to clean your coffee machine and portafilter
Replace the coffee filter in the portafilter with a blind filter. Pour one scoop of Solute cleaning powder into the blind filter and insert the portafilter into the coffee machine. Run the water as if you were making coffee, and wait 10 seconds. Then turn it off for 10 seconds to let it work. Repeat this 5×. Remove the portafilter and rinse it thoroughly. Re-insert the portafilter with the blind filter into the coffee machine, this time empty. Run the water again for 10 seconds, then turn it off for 10 seconds. Repeat this 3×. Then remove the blind filter from the portafilter and replace it with a standard one. Procedure for cleaning the portafilter. Soak the portafilters and filter baskets in 500ml of hot water with two scoops of Solute cleaner. Rinse thoroughly under running water.
