Smoke detector belongs on the ceiling
Thanks to battery power, placing the Somfy One+ smoke detector on the ceiling is a breeze. By the way, a pair of AA batteries has an expected life of 5 years. You can then monitor your current state of charge in the app and be alerted if the power level drops too low. Also, be clear about how many detectors you will need on your property. Somfy One+ supports the use of multiple detectors within a single household. If one detects danger, they all go off.
The Somfy One+ smoke detector sends notifications to your phone and has a loud siren
If the Somfy One+ smoke detector detects danger, in addition to the 85 dB siren, you will also receive a notification to your mobile app. You can turn off the false alarm in the app, so you don't have to physically touch the smoke detector. You will appreciate this, for example, when using the Somfy One+ in the kitchen.
