The large Exmor CMOS sensor captures high-resolution images with smoothly-rendered colour gradations. The BIONZ X processor features advanced reproduction technologies and can process a vast amount of sensor data. This produces low-noise images, even in low light conditions, and at high ISO sensitivity settings (up to 25,600).

Save every important moment in your life

The Sony Alpha A68 has an advanced 79 point phase-detection autofocus system covering a wide area of the field of view. Its 4D focus feature allows you to easily lock-on to subjects not centred within the frame. The continuous autofocus excels at capturing fast moving subjects and supports burst shooting at 8 frames per second, or recording Full HD video with a bitrate of 50Mbps.

The OLED Tru-Finder offers 100% coverage with a wider colour range, displaying acurate colour reproduction and contrast, so you can capture the scene exactly as you see it. Additionally, the rear display tilts both up and down, so you can comfortably take photos at any height - at ground level or while holding the camera above your head.

Assign frequently used functions to selected programmable keys. In addition to the versatile rear wheel, you can assign 49 functions to 11 programmable buttons, allowing you to quickly and easily change the camera's settings on-the-fly. Meaning you can change the camera's settings without taking your eye away from the viewfinder.

The Alpha A68 enhances image realism, reduces blur, and takes care of finely rendered, evenly coloured surfaces (such as the sky). With the 4D Focus feature, you can also focus on subjects that are not in the centre of the frame.

Sony Corporation is a Japanese company founded in 1946. Its headquarters is located in Tokyo. Its beginnings were humble. The first product sold under the Sony brand was a transistor radio. It was those radios that played a pivotal role in the company's expansion in the 1960s and the world quickly began to associate Sony products with a reliably stellar price-performance ratio. In the 1970s, Sony was severely affected by the global economic crisis. Many analysts considered the company effectively defunct and could see no future for it. However, they underestimated the famous Japanese perseverance and courage. The crisis was not a disaster for Sony; on the contrary, it served as a launching pad to even greater heights. The company recovered and soon changed the media landscape with the development of the CD and later the DVD. In the early 1990s, Sony achieved another major success with the introduction of the PlayStation gaming console. It is the gaming consoles that best represent the intersection of the three key areas in which the company operates today – electronics, video games, and the entertainment industry.
