Grip Sony GP-VPT3
The Sony GP-VPT3 multi-function grip combines three functions in one handy and easily portable device, ideal for travel, vlogging or filming in the field. Not only does it serve as a grip for holding the camera steady while shooting handheld, but it also turns into a compact tripod that can be placed on a table or other flat surface in no time. Its biggest advantage, however, is the detachable wireless remote, which lets you conveniently start recording or take pictures remotely, ideal for group photos, selfies or shots where you want to be alone in the frame. The Grip allows you to quickly switch between different shooting angles and can easily handle selfie mode, where you'll appreciate its compact size and lightweight design. The included RMT-VP2 remote control can be purchased separately if required.

Reliability in any environment
The grip and remote control are designed with environmental resistance in mind. Thanks to its dust- and moisture-resistant design, the device can be safely used even in harsh conditions such as near water, in the open air or in inclement weather. In addition, because there are no cables to plug in or connector covers to open, the camera remains better protected even with frequent remote operation.
Stable wireless control
The Sony GP-VPT3 Grip uses Bluetooth technology, which offers a more stable connection than conventional infrared communication, even in challenging conditions such as direct sunlight or partial signal obscuration. With a range of approximately 10 metres, you get full freedom to shoot and record remotely without having to be near the camera all the time.
Connectivity to different cameras and smartphones
The remote is compatible not only with selected Sony cameras, but also with Xperia smartphones. Whether you're shooting with a professional camera or a mobile phone, you can rely on unified controls and easy switching between devices.
Grip Sony GP-VPT3 with detachable controller
Thanks to the Sony GP-VPT3's wireless connection to the camera, you can conveniently start recording, take pictures or control the zoom without having to touch the device, which you'll especially appreciate when vlogging, recording from a fixed position or taking self-portraits. The ergonomically designed dial puts all the important functions literally under your thumb, so you can quickly and intuitively switch between modes, start recording or adjust the shooting angle. By converting the grip into a compact mini tripod and detaching the remote control, you get full freedom in shot composition even when working unassisted. The controller is cleverly attached magnetically directly to the grip body, so it's always close at hand, but can also be removed in seconds to use on its own.
Handheld shooting without tilt and direction restrictions with the Sony GP-VPT3 grip
The ergonomically designed shape of the grip provides a firm and secure hold on the camera, which you'll appreciate especially when shooting for long periods of time or shooting handheld. Thanks to the clever mechanical system, you can easily and smoothly change the angle of the shot without the need for complicated readjustment, simply hold the handy release button and adjust the tilt or rotate the shooting direction in seconds. This feature is ideal for nimble transitions between classic ambient capture and selfie mode, without removing or reconfiguring the device.
Easy change from grip to tripod and back
Whether you're shooting handheld on the move or need a stable base for carefully composed shots, it only takes a few seconds to turn the grip into a full-size mini tripod. Layout of the feet is quick and intuitive,so you don't waste time and can focus on capturing the perfect moment. In tripod mode, it provides a solid support for shooting landscapes, product shots, group shots or self-portraits. When you need to get back into action, simply fold the legs and continue shooting handheld.
One-handed operation
All important functions are concentrated on the front panel of the compact controller. There's a shutter button for shooting, a MOVIE button to instantly start or stop video recording, an AF-ON button to activate autofocus, a customisable C1 button, and buttons to zoom or focus according to your device settings. The ZOOM/FOCUS/LOCK switch then allows you to adjust the behaviour of these buttons to your current needs and lock them against unwanted pressing. If you assign frequently used functions to the AF-ON or C1 buttons on your camera, you can control them directly from the grip.
Remote control and camera status indicator light
The Sony GP-VPT3 is a thoughtfully designed shooting grip that reliably carries most common cameras with a lens attached, thanks to its weight capacity of up to 1.5kg. The stable grip makes it easy to handle even when shooting for long periods of time and helps keep the shot shake-free. In addition, an integrated LED lightindicates that the camera is remotely controlled and provides visual feedback on its current status, so you can keep an eye on it while shooting or filming. The Sony GP-VPT3 Grip offers a wide range of tilt options, up to 80° up and 90° down, and when unfolded into a tripod, you get a range of up to 40° up, which you'll appreciate when shooting from the ceiling, for example.

Sony Corporation is a Japanese company founded in 1946. Its headquarters is located in Tokyo. Its beginnings were humble. The first product sold under the Sony brand was a transistor radio. It was those radios that played a pivotal role in the company's expansion in the 1960s and the world quickly began to associate Sony products with a reliably stellar price-performance ratio. In the 1970s, Sony was severely affected by the global economic crisis. Many analysts considered the company effectively defunct and could see no future for it. However, they underestimated the famous Japanese perseverance and courage. The crisis was not a disaster for Sony; on the contrary, it served as a launching pad to even greater heights. The company recovered and soon changed the media landscape with the development of the CD and later the DVD. In the early 1990s, Sony achieved another major success with the introduction of the PlayStation gaming console. It is the gaming consoles that best represent the intersection of the three key areas in which the company operates today – electronics, video games, and the entertainment industry.
