AUTHOR Record 16 2025 9" Grey/Green

The AUTHOR Record 16 kids' bike is designed for a child's first cycling experiences from the age of 3. Thanks to its aluminium frame, it has a low weight, which makes it easier for children to handle and take their first pedal strokes. Safety is ensured by a fully covered chain, and parents will appreciate the guide handle on the saddle for support in the beginning. The brake levers and handlebars are ergonomically shaped for children's hands, which contributes to confident control.

Designed for Safety and Stability

The geometry of the AUTHOR Record 16 bike is fine-tuned to provide stability during the first rides. An important safety feature is the full chain guard, which protects children's legs and clothing from contact with the mechanism. For parents, there is a guide handle directly on the saddle, allowing for easy support and help when practising balance. The handlebar grips have a narrow profile and flared ends, which gives children a firm and secure grip.

A Bike That Grows with Your Child

To ensure the bike lasts as long as possible, it is equipped with adjustable components. The handlebar height can be easily adapted to the child's growing stature. The 9-inch frame is an inch taller than most competing models, which, according to the manufacturer's experience, significantly extends the period of comfortable use. This difference does not limit the ease of the first rides in any way, but allows the child to use the bike for longer.

Reliable Components for Every Ride

This kids' bike is fitted with proven components. Braking is handled by Tektro V-Brake caliper brakes, which are easy for a child's hand to operate. Not only are the fork and frame made of aluminium, but so are the handlebars, stem, and rims, which contributes to the low overall weight. The bike is equipped with a freewheel, Kenda tyres with good grip, and Prowheel cranks. Together, these parts form a reliable whole for recreational riding.
