How to set the CAT suitcase's TSA lock
You can change the number combination by following these steps:
1. Set the lock to the opening combination (the factory default is 0-0-0).
2. Press the reset button with a pen or another pointed object until you hear a click.
3. Set your new number on the dial and make sure you remember it.
4. Push the button in the direction of the arrow.
The reset button will now return to its original position and you will hear it click. At this point, your new numerical code is set. If you wish to change your code, simply repeat steps 1 to 4.
Opening the lock:
To release the zip pullers and open the suitcase, enter the correct code and push the button in the direction of the arrow (the factory default is 0-0-0 if you have not yet set your own code).
TSA lock
TSA locks, marked with a red diamond symbol, primarily serve to allow luggage to be easily opened for inspection without causing damage. This also allows the check to be carried out more quickly. TSA security officers can open and inspect luggage with this type of lock without having to break it. All TSA locks are marked with a code from TSA001 to TSA007, which corresponds to the type of master key designed to open that type of lock. Keys for TSA locks are not sold commercially and are only available to TSA officers. After inspecting your luggage, these officers are required to place a notice of inspection inside your suitcase and the suitcase must be re-locked.
