Soft DS MAX outsole for better feel
The Guardian ST are equipped with a DS MAX outsole, a softer compound developed for great grip and sensitivity. The outsole offers excellent contact with resin surfaces, significantly improving grip on small footholds, rounded volumes, and during moves that require speed and control. The increased flexibility lets the rubber conform better to the wall's uneven surfaces. This design also supports dynamic movements and rapid foot placements, which are typical of indoor bouldering. In addition to the rubber used, EB has also redesigned the internal construction of the climbing shoe to maintain a balanced ratio between flexibility, support, and stability during climbing.
Perforated midsole for a balance between flexibility and support
