Instructions for setting the Heys suitcase TSA lock
The lock is factory-set to open with the combination 0-0-0. You can keep this combination or set a new one by following these steps:
1. Push the button in the direction of the arrow and hold it until you complete step 2. 2. Turn the dials to your desired personal combination. 3. Release the button and turn the dials so that the three numbers are not visible.
TSA lock
The primary purpose of the TSA lock system, marked with a red diamond symbol, is to allow luggage to be easily opened for inspection without damage. It also helps speed up the inspection process. TSA security officers can use this type of lock to open and inspect luggage without having to break the lock. All TSA locks are marked with a code from TSA001 to TSA007, which corresponds to the type of universal key used to open this kind of lock. Keys for TSA locks are not sold to the public and are only available to TSA personnel. After inspecting the luggage, officers are required to place an inspection notice inside your suitcase and must re-lock it.
