TSA lock

The primary purpose of a TSA lock system, marked with a red diamond symbol, is to allow luggage to be easily opened for inspection without being damaged. It can also speed up the inspection process. TSA security officers can open and inspect luggage with this type of lock without having to break it. All TSA locks are marked with a code from TSA001 to TSA007, which corresponds to the type of universal key used to open that lock. Keys for TSA locks are not sold commercially and are only available to TSA officers. After inspecting the luggage, these officers are required to place a notice of inspection inside your suitcase and must relock it. It is especially recommended when travelling to the USA, as the TSA is primarily a US organisation, but TSA standards are also used at airports outside the United States.
