TSA lock
TSA lock systems, marked with a red diamond symbol, are primarily designed to allow luggage to be easily opened for inspection without causing damage. It can also speed up the inspection process. TSA security officers can use this type of lock to open and check luggage without having to break the lock. All TSA locks are marked with a code from TSA001 to TSA007, which corresponds to the type of universal key used to open that kind of lock. Keys for TSA locks are not sold commercially and are only available to TSA personnel. After inspecting the luggage, these officers are required to place a notice of inspection in your suitcase and the suitcase must be re-locked. It is particularly recommended when travelling to the USA, as the TSA is primarily an American organisation, but TSA standards are also used at airports outside the United States.
