TSA lock
The primary purpose of a TSA lock system, marked with a red diamond symbol, is to allow luggage to be easily opened for inspection without causing damage. It can also speed up the inspection process. Security officers from the TSA can open and inspect the luggage using this type of lock without having to destroy it. All TSA locks are marked with a code from TSA001 to TSA007, which corresponds to the type of universal key designed to open that kind of lock. Keys for TSA locks are not available for public sale and are only accessible to TSA personnel. After inspecting the luggage, these officers are required to place a notification of inspection in your suitcase and the suitcase must be re-locked.
