TSA lock
The TSA lock system, marked with a red diamond symbol, is primarily used to allow luggage to be easily opened for inspection without damage. It can also speed up this check. TSA security officers can use this type of lock to open and inspect the luggage without having to destroy the lock. All TSA locks are marked with a code from TSA001 to TSA007, which corresponds to the type of master key used to open that type of lock. Keys for TSA locks are not commercially available and are only accessible to TSA personnel. After inspecting the luggage, these officers are required to place an inspection notice in your suitcase and the suitcase must be re-locked.
