TSA lock
The primary purpose of the TSA lock system, marked with a red diamond symbol, is to allow luggage to be easily opened for inspection without damaging it. This can also speed up the inspection process. TSA security officers can open and check luggage with this type of lock without having to destroy it. All TSA locks are marked with a code from TSA001 to TSA007, which corresponds to the type of universal key used to open this lock. Keys to TSA locks are not for public sale and are only available to TSA personnel. After inspecting the luggage, these officers are required to place an inspection notice in your suitcase and the case must be locked again. It is especially recommended when travelling to the USA, as the TSA is primarily a US organisation, but TSA standards are also used at airports outside the United States.
