The Petzl Attache locking carabiner is used for belaying, attaching a belay device to a harness and belaying with a Munter hitch. The SCREW-LOCK screwgate with a lock indicator ensures a secure closure. The smooth transition between the carabiner body and the gate, along with the Keylock system, reduces the risk of the rope, sling or strap snagging. In addition, the specially shaped friction surfaces facilitate the smooth passage of the rope. The yellow Petzl Attache HMS carabiner has a major axis strength of 21kN, a minor axis strength of 7kN, an open gate strength of 6kN and a gate opening of 23mm. It is made of an aluminium alloy and weighs 58g.
