How to set your Rock suitcase TSA lock
The factory default combination is 0-0-0. Follow these steps to set your own numerical combination for the first time:
Checking the lock before setting
1. Make sure the dials are set to 0-0-0.
2. Insert the zip pullers into the lock slots. They should click into place.
3. Slide the release button to the side to release the zip pullers.
4. Insert the zip pullers back into the slots and turn one of the dials to lock the suitcase, for example by setting the combination to 1-0-0.
5. Try sliding the release button – it should now be locked.
6. Set the combination back to 0-0-0 and slide the release button to release the zip pullers.
Setting your own numerical combination
It is recommended to leave the suitcase unlocked, with the zip pullers out of the lock slots, when setting the combination.
1. Make sure the dials are set to 0-0-0.2. Using a pointed object, such as a pen, press the reset button until it clicks into the reset position.3. Turn the dials to set your desired combination, for example 8-8-8.4. Slide the release button to the side until you hear a click and the reset button returns to its original position.5. Your combination is now set. Insert the zip pullers into the lock slots and slide the release button to check that the pullers release correctly.
Memorise your combination or write it down and keep these instructions in a safe place for future reference.
TSA lock
The main purpose of a TSA lock system, marked with a red diamond symbol, is to allow luggage to be easily opened for inspection without damaging it. It can also speed up the inspection process. Security staff can use this type of lock to open and check luggage without having to destroy the lock. All TSA locks are marked with a code from TSA001 to TSA007, which corresponds to the type of universal key used to open that type of lock. Keys for TSA locks are not sold commercially and are only available to TSA agents. After inspecting the luggage, these agents are required to place a notice of inspection in your suitcase and the suitcase must be locked again. It is especially recommended for travel to the USA, as the TSA is primarily an American organisation, but TSA standards are also used at airports outside the United States.Specifications
