How to set the Rock suitcase TSA lock
The default factory combination is 0-0-0. Follow these steps to set your own numerical combination for the first time:
Checking the lock before setting
1. Make sure the dials are set to 0-0-0.
2. Insert the zip pullers into the lock slots. They should click into place.
3. Slide the release button to the side to release the zip pullers.
4. Insert the zip pullers back into the slots and turn one dial to lock the suitcase, for example, by setting the combination to 1-0-0.
5. Try sliding the release button – it should now be blocked.
6. Set the combination back to 0-0-0 and slide the release button to release the zip pullers.
Setting your own numerical combination
It is recommended to leave the suitcase unlocked, with the zip pullers out of the lock slots, while setting the combination.
1. Make sure the dials are set to 0-0-0.2. Using a pointed object, such as a pen, press the reset button until it clicks into the reset position.3. Turn the dials to set your desired combination, for example, 8-8-8.4. Slide the release button to the side until you hear a click and the reset button returns to its original position.5. Your combination is now set. Insert the zip pullers into the lock slots and slide the release button to check that the pullers release correctly.
Memorise your combination or write it down and keep these instructions in a safe place for future use.
TSA lock
The primary purpose of a TSA lock system, marked with a red diamond symbol, is to allow luggage to be easily opened for inspection without causing damage. It can also speed up the screening process. TSA security officers can use this type of lock to open and inspect luggage without having to break the lock. All TSA locks are marked with a code from TSA001 to TSA007, which corresponds to the type of master key designed to open that specific lock. TSA lock keys are not publicly available and are only accessible to TSA personnel. After inspecting the luggage, these officers are required to place a notification of inspection inside your suitcase and must relock it. This system is especially recommended for travel to the USA, as the TSA is primarily a US organisation, but TSA standards are also used at airports outside the United States.Specifications
