Instructions for setting the ROCK Oslo suitcase TSA lock
The factory default combination is 0-0-0.
Follow these steps to set your own combination for the first time.
Checking the lock before setting:
1. Make sure the dials are set to 0-0-0.
2. Insert the zip pullers into the lock slots. They should click into place.
3. Slide the opening button to the side to release the zip pullers.
4. Re-insert the pullers into the slots and turn one of the dials to lock the suitcase (for example, to 1-0-0).
5. Try to slide the opening button – it should now be blocked.
6. Set the combination back to 0-0-0 and slide the button to release the zip pullers.
Setting your own numerical combination.
It is recommended to leave the suitcase unlocked (zip pullers out of the lock slots) when setting the combination.
1. Set the dials to 0-0-0.
2. Use a pointed object, such as a pen, to press the reset button until it clicks and stays in the pressed position.
3. Turn the dials to set your desired combination (for example, 8-8-8).
4. Slide the opening button to the side until you hear a click and the reset button returns to its original position.
5. Your combination is now set. Insert the zip pullers into the slots and slide the opening button to verify that the pullers release correctly.
Memorise or write down your combination and keep these instructions in a safe place for future use.
TSA lock
The primary purpose of the TSA lock system, marked with a red diamond symbol, is to allow luggage to be easily opened for inspection without damage. It can also speed up the inspection process. TSA security officers can open and inspect luggage with this type of lock without having to destroy it. All TSA locks are marked with a code from TSA001 to TSA007, which corresponds to the type of master key used to open that specific lock. TSA lock keys are not available for public sale and are only accessible to TSA staff. After inspecting the luggage, officers are required to place an inspection notice inside your suitcase and must relock it. This system is especially recommended for travel to the USA, as the TSA is primarily an American organisation, but TSA standards are also used at airports outside the United States.Specifications
