Instructions for setting the TSA lock on the Samsonite Ecodiver Duffle/WH 55 Backpack Climbing Ivy travel bag
You can change the number combination as follows:
1. Set the lock to the opening combination (the factory default code is 0-0-0).2. Push the reset button with a pen or other pointed object until you hear a click.3. Set your new number on the dial and memorise it.4. Push the PUSH button in the direction of the arrow.
This will return the reset button to its original position and you will hear a click. Your new number code is now set. If you want to change your number code, simply repeat steps 1 to 4.
Opening the lock:
To release the zip pullers to open the case, enter the correct code and push the PUSH button in the direction of the arrow (the factory default code is 0-0-0 if you have not yet set your own code).
TSA lock
The primary purpose of the TSA lock system, marked with a red diamond symbol, is to allow luggage to be easily opened for inspection without damage. It can also speed up the inspection process. Security officers can use this type of lock to open and inspect the luggage without having to destroy the lock. All TSA locks are marked with a code from TSA001 to TSA007, which corresponds to the type of master key intended for opening this type of lock. TSA lock keys are not available for public sale and are only available to TSA personnel. After inspecting the luggage, these officers are required to place an inspection notice inside your case and the case must be locked again.
