The vacuum created slows down the oxidation process, prolonging the freshness, taste and aroma of stored food. The lid works with both mechanical and electric vacuum pumps.

Safe materials and easy maintenance

The top of the lid is ABS plastic, the gasket and valve are silicone. All materials used are BPA-free and safe for food contact. The silicone seal adheres to the rim of the container and helps maintain the vacuum. You can wash the lid in the dishwasher after use.

Extending the shelf life of food

Vacuuming is the process by which air is extracted from a container. The absence of oxygen slows down the multiplication of micro-organisms and oxidation, which causes loss of nutritional value, change in taste and aroma. The STATUS lid thus extends the shelf life of food and keeps it fresh longer. You can use it to preserve different types of food such as leftovers, open compotes or fresh ingredients.
