Stratamed
Full-contact elastic coverage that provides an optimal environment for wound healing and prevention of abnormal scarring. Stratamed is a semi-occlusive, self-drying transparent gel. If Stratamed is used as directed, it dries after application and forms a silicone protective layer that is air permeable, waterproof, hydrating and protects affected skin areas and open wounds from chemical and microbial attack. Stratamed can be applied to fresh cuts, open wounds and damaged skin even after laser treatments, chemical peels, dermal abrasion, 1st and 2nd degree burns and superficial burns after irradiation.

Stratamed was developed for use on all types of superficial wounds, burns, lacerations and abrasions, including those resulting from
- Surgical and cosmetic procedures
- Injuries
- Burn
- Radiotherapy
- Bite
- Abrasions and rashes
- Laser therapy, including tattoo removal
- Chemical peeling dermal abrasion
- Cryotherapy for acne
- And other skin problems
Method of administration (instructions for use)
- For the first use of the 5g and 10g tubes, unscrew the cap, remove the tip of the tube and screw the cap back on after use.
- Make sure the affected area of the skin is clean.
- Before applying the gel, the wound must be cleansed of excessive effusion or fluid as completely as possible.
- For best results, Stratamed should be in continuous contact with the skin (24 hours a day / 7 days a week).
- If Stratamed is wiped off during washing, it should be reapplied.
- When used correctly, Stratamed dries on the affected areas within 5- 6 minutes. If the interval is longer, you have probably used too much gel. Gently remove the excess with a clean cloth or gauze and allow to dry.
Ingredients
Polysiloxanes, Siloxane resin
Recommended dosage
For damaged or broken skin not requiring secondary coverage: Apply a very thin layer of Stratamed to the affected area and allow the gel to dry. Stratamed should be applied once a day or twice a day to unprotected areas, or as recommended by your doctor. After drying, you can apply sunscreens, cosmetics or pressure bandages to Stratamed. For damaged or broken skin requiring secondary coverage: Apply a thin layer of Stratamed and apply secondary coverage. Drying is not necessary. Stratamed should be reapplied when changing the dressing or checking the condition of the wound or as directed by your doctor. Recommended treatment period: Stratamed is recommended for treatment immediately after surgery. The treatment should last until the skin is completely healed. After resurfacing and ablative procedures, continuous treatment is recommended for at least 30 days (24/7) or if there are no further signs of improvement. To prevent abnormal scarring, it is recommended to take Stratamed for at least 60-90 days (24 hours a day/7 days a week). Larger scars may take longer to heal. Continuous treatment is recommended until there are no further signs of improvement. How much Stratamed do I need? Stratamed gel has a unique formulation that allows a much smaller amount of gel per application than conventional moisturizers or barrier ointments. 5 g gel pack: For the treatment of longitudinal scars 2-4 cm in length when applied twice daily for more than 90 days.
Pack of 10 g gel:
For the treatment of longitudinal scars 5-8 cm in length when applied twice daily for more than 90 days.
