The glycerin (glycerolum) contained in the suppository binds water, softens the stool and increases its volume in the lower part of the colon, making it easier to pass during constipation. The effect occurs in 10-20 minutes after use.
Dosage and method of use
Always use this medicine exactly as directed in the package insert or by your doctor or pharmacist. If you are unsure, consult your doctor or pharmacist. Adults, adolescents and children older than 10 years insert 1 suppository into the rectum as needed. The preparation provokes stool emptying in 10-20 minutes after the introduction of the suppository.
Contraindications
Do not use Suppositoria glycerini Ipsen if you are allergic to the medicine or to any other ingredient in this medicine, for painful fissures in the anal area or for bleeding hemorrhoids. The product is not intended for children under 10 years of age. Do not use Suppositoria glycerini Ipsen for more than 1 week without consulting your doctor. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, you think, that you might be pregnant, or you're planning to get pregnant, check with your doctor or pharmacist first, before taking this medicine. The product can be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Storage
Keep this product out of sight and reach of children. Do not use this product after the expiry date stated on the packaging. The expiry date shall be the last day of the month indicated.
