Speed and wireless standards
The access point uses the 802.11ax standard and is backward compatible with older wireless networks. On the 5GHz band, the transfer speed reaches up to 2402Mbps, while on the 2.4GHz band, it runs at up to 574Mbps. Integrated 2×2 MU-MIMO and OFDMA technologies increase the overall capacity of the wireless network when communicating with multiple clients at once. Beamforming technology actively directs the radiation pattern of the built-in antennas towards connected receivers.
Seamless roaming and network capacity
The device supports the 802.11k/v Fast Roaming protocols, which ensure a smooth transition for mobile phones and computers between individual transmitters without connection dropouts. At any one time, up to 254 active client devices can connect to the network without any loss of stability. The network administrator can configure up to 16 separate SSIDs, allowing traffic to be divided into eight independent networks on the 2.4GHz band and eight on the 5GHz band.
Security
Data transmission is protected by the modern WPA3-SAE encryption standard, complemented by the older WPA, WPA2 protocols and their PSK variants. The security of the internal company network is enhanced by the SSID-to-VLAN Mapping function, which isolates traffic for individual user groups and prevents unauthorised access. It also includes AP Isolation for hardware-level client separation and the ability to filter physical MAC addresses.
Connectivity options
A single gigabit Ethernet port with speeds of 10/100/1000Mbps provides the physical connection to the LAN infrastructure. This port also powers the device, as it supports active PoE 802.3af and 802.3at standards with a power consumption of up to 14.04W. The device is equipped with two integrated antennas with a 4dBi gain and one reset button. The package also includes a concealed bracket for easy mounting of the device on a wall or ceiling.
