Gel eye drops to relieve the symptoms of dry eye syndrome
Dry eye syndrome is one of the most common reasons patients visit their eye doctors. ¹ It is a chronic disease affecting people of all ages. In a healthy eye, the surface of the eye is covered with a thin layer of tears called the tear film. The tear film has several important functions such as moisturizing, protecting or cleaning the eye. A healthy tear film is maintained by blinking, which ensures the replenishment of tears. Dry eye can be caused by external factors, such as exposure to screens, monitors and displays, the use of contact lenses, I'm sorry, aging, air conditioning or wind. Dry eye syndrome can directly affect quality of life, limiting daily activities such as driving, reading or working at a computer. Discomfort caused by dry eyes can be improved by using artificial tears.
THEALOZ® DUO GEL: Unique formulation of gel eye drops
THEALOZ® DUO GEL is a sterile, pH neutral, hypotonic solution, without preservatives, without phosphates. Thanks to its patented formula with trehalose, hyaluronic acid* and carbomer, THEALOZ® DUO GEL offers long-lasting dry eye comfort.
- Trehalose is a natural substance that protects the cells on the surface of the eye.
- Hyaluronic acid* occurs naturally in the human eye. It retains water, thereby hydrating and lubricating the surface of the eye.
- The combination of trehalose and hyaluronic acid* helps restore the tear film with a long-lasting effect and relieves irritation. It regenerates cells on the surface of the eye and accelerates the healing process, nourishes the eye and reduces inflammation.
- Carbomer helps the eye surface stay on longer, making THEALOZ® DUO GEL an ideal option for use just before bedtime.
- Preservatives and phosphates can be harmful to the eyes, so they are not found in THEALOZ® DUO GEL.
How to use THEALOZ® DUO GEL?
- As it is a gel, THEALOZ® DUO GEL is particularly suitable for use in the evening, just before bedtime.
- Before applying the eye gel, wash your hands thoroughly with soap and warm water.
- Turn the single-dose vial upside down, shake gently and tap it until the gel comes off. Open the vial by flipping off the top flap. Keep squeezing until you see a drop.
- Do not touch the tip of the packaging with anything to avoid contamination.
- Drop 1 drop into each eye by gently pulling down the lower eyelid and looking up.
- Close the eye after applying the product to allow the drop to spread over the surface of the eye.
- Discard the single-dose vial, even if there is some gel left in it, do not reuse it to avoid contamination.
- Follow the recommended dosage: 1 drop in each eye, repeat up to 4 times a day.
- If you wear contact lenses, you must remove them before using THEALOZ® DUO GEL. After application, wait at least 30 minutes before putting your contact lenses back in.
Who can use THEALOZ® DUO GEL?
Suitable for adults, children, pregnant or breastfeeding women.
Contraindications and warnings
Do not inject or swallow. Do not use THEALOZ® DUO GEL if you are allergic to any of its ingredients. Do not share vials between different people to avoid cross-contamination. Keep out of sight and reach of children. Do not drive or operate machinery if you have blurred vision after using the product. In this case, wait a few minutes until clear vision is restored. Do not use the product after the expiry date stated on the vial or on the outer packaging.
