Carcassonne: Big Box

The medieval town of Carcassonne in the south of France is gradually growing. The townspeople built houses, priests and monks came to the cathedrals and churches. The peasants work their farms outside the walls, the inns are a refuge for travellers. Place cards with different parts of the city or countryside, place your teammate pieces on them and collect points. The player who has done the best job of developing his towns and villages, and therefore has the most points, wins. Carcassonne: The Big Box consists of the base game Carcassonne and 11 expansions. The now classic strategy game in a new graphic form can be played by 2-6 players aged 8 and up.

Carcassonne for beginners and advanced players

If you are a beginner, start with just the basic game first. You can make this even easier by taking out the peasants. This will make the rules easy to understand even for younger children. Once you fully understand the game's principles, add the Inns and Cathedrals and Merchants and Builders expansions. Then you can gradually add other, smaller extensions. Some of them add just a little to the game, others bring more significant changes. If you include all the expansions, you get a really big game that takes about 90-120 minutes to play.
