Explanation of the game and its progress
Players of the board game Star Wars: The Clone Wars take on the role of Jedi fighting off troops of a separatist droid army. Each Jedi has a card that lists his unique ability and a piece that represents him on the game board. All players are part of the same team and win or lose together. They can discuss and advise each other. Anyone can offer their opinion or advice, but each player must decide for themselves what to do on their turn. The Jedi must defend the Republic against three types of enemies - battle droids, blockades and bad guys. Droids pile up on planets and blockades protect enemies on the corresponding planet. In each game, you will face one villain, and each villain has a table that lists their health and all their special abilities, and on the back of the table are the final rules and the process to achieve the overall win. Each villain has a deck of cards that determines how they will act during the game. Each player has unit cards representing characters and vehicles to help them in battle. The effects of Unit cards can help you or a Jedi on your planet.
The mission and the path to victory
To you in the board game Star Wars: The Clone Wars have reached their finale with the villain winning the game, the Jedi must complete several missions across the galaxy. Each mission takes place on a planet on the game board, which is marked with a mission token. To accomplish a mission, a Jedi must perform a mission accomplishment action. Usually several Jedi must meet on the target planet to complete the mission. In addition, most missions have special effects that affect their performance.
History of the game and its creators
Star Wars board game: Clone Wars was originally released in 2022 by the renowned publisher Z-Man Games. The game is the brainchild of American game designer Alexander Ortloff-Tang, who has previously worked on expansions for Star Wars: Imperial Assault. The visuals are by the talented illustrator Atha Kanaani, known for his work on several installments of the Pandemic series. The game was localized into Czech in the same year.
