In the game, you take on the role of a sim who wants to achieve his life aspirations and create the perfect life for himself. The game plan features familiar locations from the series, where you travel with your plumbob figure, collecting SIMbols and meeting other characters. Every move brings a choice between two actions - Travel and Homecoming. Travel to explore new places, earn action cards and meet iconic simswho will influence your journey. Returning home will allow you to fulfill needs, gain new aspirations or recharge for your next move. The aim of the game is to be the first to reach 8 points - these are earned by completing aspiration cards (3 points) and iconic sims that accompany you (1 point). Each turn brings new opportunities and little surprises that make each game a personal story for your sim.
History of the game and its creators
The Sims: The board game was first released in 2024 by international publisher Goliath Games. It was developed by a team of experienced game designers who managed to transform the world of digital sims into a dynamic board game format. The title draws inspiration from the original video game The Sims, created by American game designer Will Wright for Maxis in 2000. The game became one of the most successful titles in video game history soon after its release, and its principles are now coming to life on the gaming table.
