Two Old Hippies Breedlove Discovery S Concert CE
Two Old Hippies Breedlove Discovery S Concert CE
European spruce is the classic choice for the Breedlove Discovery S Concert CE acoustic guitar, delivering a full, rich, resonant tone with long sustain. This sustainably sourced guitar is designed at Breedlove's headquarters in Bend, Oregon, using EcoTonewood technology that supports a wide range of playing styles, from gentle to bold. The solid top, combined with an African mahogany back and sides, produces a balanced, warm and clear sound. The concert body shape offers comfortable playing and a balanced tonality suitable for fingerstyle, accompaniment and strumming. A slim neck with a narrow nut width makes it easy to play, and the pinless delta bridge enables simple string changes. The guitar is built with the environment in mind and, with proper care, is designed to be an instrument for life.

Solid wood top
The guitar's top, along with its body shape, is the defining element of its sound, determining the volume, tone, sustain and projection through its vibrations. Spruce, thanks to its stiffness-to-weight ratio, rings out loud and clear, and a solid wood top translates vibrations with greater immediacy and tonal purity. This type of construction responds more sensitively to the player's intent and offers immediately recognisable sonic advantages, especially for more advanced players.
Manufacturing and playing comfort
The guitars are made from exotic and native wood species that are sustainably sourced, with no clear-cut trees used in the manufacturing of these instruments. Breedlove uses salvaged and individually harvested wood and has close relationships with responsible suppliers worldwide. With a hand-sanded, semi-gloss neck finish and precise body shaping, the guitars provide comfortable playability even for smaller hands.
