The Ubiquiti UniFi UNVR camera system secures indoor and outdoor spaces using four G5 Turret Ultra cameras and a central unit. Central Unit
The central unit, in a compact desktop design weighing 1.04kg, uses a 1.7GHz quad-core ARM Cortex-A55 processor and 4GB of RAM. On the front, there is a built-in 1.14" display for instant viewing of the entire system's status. The unit's dimensions are 47 × 220 × 220mm. The design supports wall or DIN rail mounting using the included mounting hardware.
G5 Turret Ultra Cameras
The set includes four Turret-style cameras that capture images at a 4MP resolution, i.e., 2688 × 1512 pixels. The optical part consists of a fixed lens and a 1/2.4" CMOS sensor with a screen size viewing angle of 120.6°, a horizontal angle of 102.4°, and a vertical angle of 54.9°. The cameras transmit video with H.264 compression and support a frame rate of up to 30 FPS. Each camera weighs 330g with dimensions of 71.2 × 90mm.
Intelligent Detection and Features
The cameras integrate a built-in microphone for recording audio in the vicinity of the monitored area. The system offers smart detection of people, animals, and vehicles for accurate real-time event evaluation. Night vision with infrared illumination and a built-in IR-cut filter provides a range of up to 30m in complete darkness. The device supports the Matter protocol and operates within a closed security system via the central unit.
Storage and Data Management
The central unit includes one bay for a 3.5" hard drive and comes with a 1TB HDD pre-installed. The drive, with a SATA 6Gb/s interface, operates at 5,400 RPM and has a mean time between failures of 1,000,000 hours. The total storage capacity supports up to 24TB, covering the needs for storing long-term, high-resolution recordings. Management is handled via the UniFi Protect, UniFi Access, and UniFi Connect applications.
Camera Durability and Installation
The camera housing, made of aluminium alloy and UV-stabilised polycarbonate, withstands external elements according to the IP66 specification. The cameras, with IK04 vandal protection, operate in a temperature range of -30 to 50°C and can handle an operating humidity of 0 to 90% without condensation. The package includes mounting hardware and a bracket for wall or ceiling installation. The entire set meets NDAA requirements and holds CE, FCC, and IC certifications.
Camera System and Connections
The network section of the central unit offers one GbE RJ45 uplink port and six GbE PoE RJ45 downlink ports. The total PoE power budget is 40W, with a maximum output of 15.4W per port, and the system supports direct display via an HDMI interface. The central unit has a maximum power consumption of 9W (without drives) and uses an internal 60W power supply for mains connection.
