The VFFOTO protective UV filter is designed for photographers who want to protect the front element of their lens from scratches, dust and dirt without compromising on image quality. The filter uses advanced technology that absorbs 100% of UV radiation up to a wavelength of 400nm, preventing a bluish haze from appearing in your pictures. Thanks to its high light transmission and colour neutrality, it does not affect the exposure or the colour rendition of the scene. Corning optical glass and multiple surface coatings ensure maximum sharpness is maintained.

The core of the filter is premium Corning optical glass, which is characterised by its high transparency. PureVision 12K technology ensures the filter causes no loss of detail, even when used with high-resolution cameras. A light transmission of 99.9% and almost absolute colour neutrality mean your photos remain true to life, without unwanted colour shifts or the need to adjust exposure. The filter provides protection without degrading the final image in any way.

Advanced surface coatings

The filter features a total of 16 GlareShield PRO anti-reflective coatings applied to both sides of the glass. These coatings effectively minimise reflections and lens flare, increasing the contrast and clarity of your images, especially when shooting into the light. The MRC / Nano (NanoShield) surface finish repels water, grease and dust, making the filter much easier to clean and maintain in the field. PureLight L41 technology completely blocks the UV spectrum below 400nm.

Durable and precise construction

The filter frame is made from brass, which offers greater durability and a longer lifespan compared to commonly used aluminium. Brass is less prone to warping due to temperature changes and reduces the risk of the filter getting stuck in the lens thread. Thanks to the frame's slim design, there is no vignetting – the darkening of image corners – even when used with very wide-angle lenses. The precision construction ensures easy and safe handling.
