Image quality
The image is produced by a 0.65" DLP DMD chip, which, combined with support for HDR formats, delivers a high native contrast ratio of 3,000,000:1. The 3840 × 2160 pixel resolution renders fine details. The light source uses advanced third-generation LED technology with a brightness of 2500 ANSI lumens. The projector displays an image in a 16:9 aspect ratio. The light source lifespan is 60000 hours in normal mode. The cooling noise is 33dB, dropping to 29dB in ECO mode.
Flexible installation and short throw
The ViewSonic X1-4K Pro projector is a short-throw model, which allows it to create a large image from a short distance. It projects a 100" image from a distance of 2.55 metres. Image adjustment is made easy by the 1.3× optical zoom and vertical lens shift. For geometry correction, it offers horizontal and vertical keystone adjustment of +/- 40° and a four-corner adjustment function. The projector can be placed freely or mounted on the ceiling.
Gaming performance
For gaming, it offers a mode with a 120Hz refresh rate at 1440p resolution and low input latency. The projector runs on the Android TV operating system, which provides access to apps like Netflix, Disney+ or YouTube. The integrated memory offers 4GB of available storage for apps. Wireless content mirroring from mobile devices is supported by Miracast technology. The device also supports 3D content playback.
Sound and connectivity
The sound is handled by a pair of integrated 2×6W speakers from Harman Kardon. These speakers provide an immersive audio experience. For connecting signal sources, it provides two HDMI 2.0 ports, one of which supports the eARC audio return channel for connecting a soundbar. It also offers a USB-C and USB-A port for powering external devices. Wireless connectivity is handled by dual-band WiFi and Bluetooth for pairing with external speakers or headphones. For a wired headphone connection, it provides a 3.5mm audio output.

Native resolution vs. maximum resolution
Native resolution determines the actual number of physical pixels on the projector's imaging chip and defines the real sharpness of the image. Maximum resolution, on the other hand, only indicates the highest signal the projector can receive and convert (downscale) to its native resolution. For a high-quality picture, it's always crucial to look at the native resolution.Specifications
