Material properties and use
The lids are made of polyethylene terephthalate (PET), a lightweight and strong plastic commonly used in the food industry. The material is intended for contact with food but is not suitable for use at high temperatures, as its maximum heat resistance is 40°C. After use, the lids can be simply thrown into a plastics recycling bin, as indicated by the 01 PET recycling symbol. The domed shape provides plenty of space, even for taller decorations on cakes or open sandwiches.
