A switch is a functional network component that connects individual devices and other network elements. It is designed for controlling network traffic. The Zyxel XGS3700-24HP is supposed to be placed in a rack. The Switch features 24 RJ-45 ports that provide connection with network elements. 4 SFP connectors serve to transport data via optical fibers. It uses Dual Personality ports, which are notable for encompassing both the RJ-45 and SFP connector ; however, only one can be in use at a time. The switch dimensions are 440 × 437 × 40mm.
