ALMIRAL GEL is a product intended for external use. It contains the medicinal substance diclofenac. ALMIRAL GEL belongs to a group of medicines called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).
ALMIRAL GEL reduces pain and inflammation, relieves swelling.
ALMIRAL GEL is used for the local treatment of musculoskeletal disorders of inflammatory or degenerative origin, i.e. to relieve pain and inflammation in muscles and joints and can be commonly used for the following conditions:
Teens 14 and up:
Short-term local treatment of acute injuries such as sprains, contusions and blunt injuries (injuries sustained during sports).
Adults (18 years and older):
Soft tissue injuries, post-traumatic conditions - tendon, muscle and joint injuries e.g. in case of sprain, strain and/or contusion.
For back pain.
After consulting a doctor, ALMIRAL GEL is also used for treatment:
Localised forms of soft tissue rheumatism, e.g. tendovaginitis (tennis elbow), bursitis (inflammation of the joint capsule) and periarthropathy (disease of the surrounding tissues of the joint).
Localised forms of osteoarthritis of peripheral joints and knees (loss of articular cartilage).

💊 Use

Apply ALMIRAL GEL 3 to 4 times a day to the painful area. The amount of medicine needed varies and depends on the size of the painful or swollen area. Usually, a quantity the size of a cherry or walnut is sufficient. You may feel a slight cooling effect when rubbing the gel in. The product is intended for adults and adolescents from 14 years of age.
Method of administration:
ALMIRAL GEL is intended for dermal administration only.
The gel is applied to the affected areas in a thin layer and gently rubbed into the skin. After applying the gel, it is necessary to wipe your hands in a paper napkin and then wash them if they are not the treated area. If you accidentally use too much gel, wipe off the excess gel with a paper napkin. Dispose of the paper napkin in the trash to prevent unused product from entering the aquatic environment. Wait a few minutes for the gel to dry before applying the bandage.
How long to use ALMIRAL GEL
Teens 14 years and older:See a doctor if the medicine needs to be used for more than 7 days to relieve pain, inflammation or swelling, or if symptoms worsen.
Adults over 18: Do not use ALMIRAL GEL for more than 2 weeks for muscle and joint injuries (i.e. sprains, strains, bruises) or in the treatment of back pain, unless your doctor has ordered longer treatment.
If the pain or swelling does not improve within 7 days of treatment or even worsens, consult your doctor. Always consult a doctor when treating pain accompanying rheumatic diseases (arthritis, tendonitis). The doctor will determine the length of treatment.

🍃 Ingredients

The active substance is diclofenac-diethylamine. 1 g of gel contains 11.6 mg of diclofenac-diethylamine, equivalent to 10 mg of diclofenac sodium.
The excipients are propylene glycol, isopropyl alcohol, carbomer 940, dipropylene glycol monomethyl ether, peppermint essential oil and purified water.

⚠️️ Warning

Children and adolescents (under 14 years of age):
In children and adolescents under 14 years of age, there are insufficient data on the safety and efficacy of the product (see Do not use ALMIRAL GEL).

Adolescents aged 14 and above:
Patients or their parents are advised to see a doctor if the medicine needs to be used for more than 7 days to relieve pain or if symptoms worsen.
Pregnancy, breastfeeding and fertility:
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, you think, that you might be pregnant, or you're planning to get pregnant, check with your doctor or pharmacist first, before using this product.
ALMIRAL GEL should not be used in the last three months of pregnancy as it may harm your unborn baby or cause problems during delivery. ALMIRAL GEL can be used during the first six months of pregnancy only if recommended by your doctor, the dose must be as low as possible and the treatment period as short as possible. Oral dosage forms (e.g. diclofenac tablets) may cause side effects in your unborn baby. It is not known whether the same risk applies to ALMIRAL GEL when used on the skin. Because diclofenac passes in small amounts into breast milk, ALMIRAL GEL should be used during breastfeeding only after consulting a physician. However, ALMIRAL GEL must not be applied to the breasts of a nursing mother, nor to large areas of skin or for long periods of time.
Read the package leaflet carefully before taking the medicine. Do not exceed the recommended dosage. Keep out of reach of children.

📦 Storage

Keep this product out of sight and reach of children. Shelf life after the first opening of the inner packaging: 3 months. Do not use this product after the expiry date stated on the packaging after EXP. The expiry date shall be the last day of the month indicated.
