The ALPINESTARS GP PLUS R 4 AIRFLOW men's sports jacket is designed for riding in the summer months. A combination of cowhide leather and A-CS®Tech stretch panels ensures high breathability and freedom of movement. For safety, it includes insertable shoulder and elbow protectors, complemented by external DFS protectors on the shoulders. The jacket is fully certified and ready for use with TECH-AIR®5 and TECH-AIR®3 airbag systems. The extended back and pre-curved sleeves enhance riding comfort.

Materials and cut for sports riding

The core of the jacket is made from cowhide leather combined with FLEX PLUS RACE leather. The key feature is the A-CS®Tech stretch panels, which enhance breathability and freedom of movement. Breathability is further supported by extensive perforation zones on the chest and sides, along with extended vents on the shoulders and forearms. The pre-curved sleeves and extended back, which protects the lower back from drafts, improve ergonomics in the riding position.

Protection system

The jacket is equipped with insertable protectors: NUCLEON FLEX PLUS shoulder protectors and GP-R LITE elbow protectors, which have an extended range to protect the forearm. Both types are Level 1 certified. Protection is further enhanced by external DFS (Dynamic Friction Shield) plastic protectors on the shoulders, designed to distribute impact energy. The jacket can be upgraded with NUCLEON back and two-piece chest inserts (sold separately). It is fully compatible with TECH-AIR®5 and TECH-AIR®3 airbag systems.

Practical details

Wearing comfort is ensured by a low-profile neoprene collar and ergonomically shaped sleeve cuffs with microfibre edges. You can easily adjust the sleeve circumference with zips. Waist width adjustment is provided by Velcro straps for a custom fit. Two external zipped pockets are available for storing small items. The main zip has a safety tab to prevent it from accidentally unzipping while riding.
