Smart socket with Zigbee, Thread and Matter support for the smart home
The AQARA Power Plug H2 EU supports two communication protocols. In Thread mode, an Aqara hub is not required to connect to third-party Matter¹ ecosystems, while Zigbee² mode makes advanced Aqara features available while maintaining backward compatibility with classic Aqara Zigbee hubs without the limitations of Matter support. With flexible protocol switching, you can choose between the broad compatibility of Matter and the advanced capabilities of the Aqara platform.
Smart appliance control and home automation
The smart socket allows you to turn ordinary appliances into part of a smart home. It can automatically switch on the coffee machine before waking up, control the lighting or remotely control other connected devices. Support for Thread, Zigbee and Matter standards allows the socket to be easily integrated into various smart home systems. Devices can be used standalone within Matter ecosystems third parties or take full advantage of the advanced automation and functionality of the Aqara platform via Zigbee connectivity.
Safe smart socket with child safety lock
AQARA Power Plug H2 EU is designed with safe operation in the home in mind. A Child Lock helps prevent accidental tampering, and integrated overload or overheat protection automatically disconnects power when a hazardous condition is detected.
RGB LED indication and power consumption overview
Built-in RGB LEDs allow you to visually display energy consumption information with colourful indications. ⁵ This makes it easy to recognize important data at a glance. In addition, the RGB lighting can be independently controlled via Matter and also used as adjustable smart lighting.
Morning coffee preparation

¹ To use a device in a specific Matter ecosystem, a Matter driver with support for the Thread protocol within that ecosystem is required.
² Aqara Zigbee hub is required.
³ If the overload protection is switched on, the plug will automatically switch off after 30 minutes if the power consumption is below 3 W.
⁴ The button can still be used to initiate a network reset or factory reset. If you want to completely disable all booting, you can use device removal protection (only when using Zigbee).
