Aroha Magnesium Threonate and Taurate
90 capsules
Aroha Magnesium Threonate & Taurate combines two powerful forms of magnesium to support the brain, nervous system and overall vitality. Thanks to magnesium threonate (Magtein), magnesium effectively reaches the brain, where it improves cognitive function and memory. In addition, magnesium taurate contributes to heart health and proper blood pressure. The supplement is great for improving sleep - it helps to achieve deeper and better quality sleep, which contributes to better recovery and reduced fatigue.

Magnesium - the king of minerals
Most people do not get enough magnesium from food. In Western countries, approximately 65% of adults have a sub-optimal magnesium intake. This proportion is even higher in the elderly, as more than 80% of people over the age of 70 do not take sufficient amounts [1, 2]. The most common symptoms of magnesium deficiency are muscle cramps, poor quality sleep, mental imbalance, irregular heartbeat and weakness in muscles or bones. Threonate penetrates the human brain and nervous system, where it can positively influence cognitive function. Magnesium is essential for hundreds of important biochemical processes, including energy metabolism inside cells. The natural level of magnesium in the human body helps to reduce fatigue and exhaustion. The adult body contains approximately 25 g of magnesium, 50-60% of which is present in the bones and most of the rest in the soft tissues [10]. The natural level of magnesium in the body is largely controlled by the kidneys, which normally excrete about 120 mg of magnesium a day in the urine. This is one of the main reasons why we should supplement magnesium every day, either naturally from food or through supplements [11].

Active ingredients
- Treonate and taurate (in each capsule in a 70:30 ratio) are the most active forms of magnesium. Magnesium helps regulate blood levels of vitamin D and is involved in more than 600 enzymatic reactions in the body, including those involved in immune and inflammatory responses. With magnesium, it is not only the form and absorption that is important, but also the way it is used in different parts of the body. The perfect combination for the brain and the heart.
- Magnesium threonate is one of the most effective forms of magnesium and is easily absorbed. Getting large amounts of magnesium into the brain is difficult because it usually has difficulty penetrating the barrier between the circulatory system and the brain. However, threonate penetrates the human brain and nervous system, where it can significantly affect cognitive function. [3]
- Magnesium taurate perfectly complements threonate and together they act synergistically. Clinical studies show that taurate may be the most suitable form for supporting the cardiovascular system and regulating blood pressure and blood sugar levels. [4, 5]
- Patented form of Magtein magnesium threonate in collaboration with a US manufacturer. Magtein is the trade name for magnesium threonate, which was developed by scientists at the American MIT University. Magtein is most commonly used in clinical trials that have clearly demonstrated its ability to cross the blood-brain barrier, the passageway between the bloodstream and the brain. Magtein is the only form of magnesium that can pass from the blood to the brain. As a result, dozens of scientific studies have shown its effect on sleep, stress, brain plasticity, the nervous system, memory and overall cognitive function [6, 7, 8, 9]. In May 2024, the EU decided, based on studies and analyses by EFSA, that magnesium L-threonate is safe for human consumption.
